executive coaching
As an executive coach, I provide a safe, confidential, and structured environment to create self-awareness, drive transformational change, and provide critical challenge and support. The International Coach Federation (ICF), defines coaching as a partnership with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching is a client-driven process that’s distinct from other service professions, such as counseling, mentoring, consulting, and training.

The ICF Global Coaching Client Study shows most coaching clients reported improved work performance, better business management, more efficient time management, increased team effectiveness, and more growth and opportunities after completing their coaching. The same study found that coaching clients noted greater self-confidence, enhanced relationships, more effective communications skills, better work-life balance, and an improvement in wellness.
neurodiversity coaching
Neurodiversity coaching is an ongoing collaborative partnership created with the goal of facilitating greater self-awareness, self-regulation, and initiative.
Through neurodiversity coaching, I help attorneys navigate the challenges of being neurodiverse in a field that caters to the neurotypical. Together, we collaborate on maximizing strengths, integrating practical tools into a daily routine, and adapting the coachee’s environment to minimize challenges.
I also guide attorneys in creating individualized structures, increasing support, and learning new skills and strategies. With coaching, attorneys can improve their ability to stay focused on their goals, address core issues (such as time management, organization, communication, self-esteem, and interpersonal skills), and function at a higher level with reduced stress.
I am a trained neurodiversity coach, having completed Neurodiversity Coaching Training with the late Carol Gignoux, a pioneer in the field of ADHD coaching. I also have experience working with attorneys with ADHD, learning differences, and who are autistic, as well as my own experience as an attorney with ADHD and a parent of an autistic daughter with ADHD.
time management, organization, & productivity coaching
Time management coaching is the process of helping individuals develop and implement effective strategies for managing their time more efficiently. This coaching focuses on identifying the key priorities in one's life, setting goals, and creating a plan to achieve those goals within a given time frame. For attorneys, Coaching also often includes guidance on:
-
Capturing and entering time
-
Communication skills
-
Responsiveness, organization
-
Learning how to avoid overpromising and over-committing
-
Setting appropriate boundaries and taking ownership of their schedule
-
Accurately estimating how long projects will take, and
-
Addressing and preventing burnout
When working on time management with my clients, I first assess their current time management habits and identify areas where they can improve. I then help my clients develop and implement new habits and behaviors that lead to more effective time management, such as creating habits that stick, setting priorities, creating to-do lists, delegating tasks, and using time-tracking tools.
During coaching sessions, I provide clients with guidance on how to better manage their schedules, eliminate distractions, and improve their focus and productivity. I also help clients to identify and overcome any underlying barriers or obstacles that may be preventing them from managing their time effectively, such as procrastination, lack of motivation, difficulty concentrating, or overwhelm, and then work with them on how to tackle these issues. By working with a coach, attorneys can learn how to manage their time more productively, reduce stress and burnout, and create better work-life balance.
leadership & management coaching
Leadership and management are skills most attorneys don’t learn until they are in the thick of their practice, yet are vital to their success. When people are poor leaders and managers, retention is challenging and high turnover often results, causing unnecessary disruption and expense. Coaching can effect an immediate improvement in performance at the individual, team, and organizational levels.
As a coach, I guide attorneys and teams toward understanding their current competencies, seeing how they’re perceived by others, and identifying and clarifying goals, while collaborating on the action steps to reach those goals. I draw on my many years of experience as a coach and as a practicing attorney to maximize each coachee’s potential, teach new skills, and facilitate growth.
career & transition coaching
I provide career and transition coaching through Total Talent Design. I help attorneys identify their strengths and discover the values that inform their choices, so that they can make conscious decisions about their career. Using my years of experience in the legal industry, I work with attorneys to find unseen opportunities, maximize their network, and step confidently into their next role. I have extensive experience working with all levels of attorneys through the job search process, from crafting a narrative and drafting materials to interview preparation and negotiation of offers.
